JUST WONDERING – WHERE IS “THE DIP”? WONDERING IF I WAS A “DIP” CHILD. LOL
Mary, sorry to say you were not a DIP. The little street that is now the 210 Fwy had a little dip in it between Rodecker Dr. and Azusa Ave. I think it was 1st Street. Nita Matthews lived on it. The DIP kids lived on the Azusa Ave. side……
Trino Estrada, Cookie Lujan, Amilia Luna, etc. Since your last name was Eagle you weren’t a DIP. DIP’S were a big part of our lives in Azusa and I am blessed to have know most of them.
Can you name more than me?
*Nita Matthews-Hardin. Chuck must have skipped school!
*Sue Wheatherwax – She was a celeb because her dad was the trainer for Lassie. Also we had a surprise “PJ come as you are party”. She wouldn’t come out of the house until she took out her rollers and brushed her hair.
*Sharon Hults, we ran away together. The police picked us up as we were walking back to home.
*Me, again.
*Trino Estrada. Mr. Wellington threw him out of the classroom window for misbehaving.
*My twin Keith. He would have enjoyed these pictures.
*Josephine “Cookie” Lujan. Mom didn’t want me to play with her because she lived on the other side of “The Dip”.
Love to all, Sher
